this photographic project delves into the fascinating complexity of family and the intricate dynamics that exist within this intimate web of relationships. through a visual exploration, I aim to investigate the various aspects of family, such as love, pain, intimacy, individuality, toxicity, equality and distance.
the project encompasses a combination of staged scenes and documentary snapshots, working together to paint a multifaceted picture of the familial experience. some photographs intentionally arrange situations to highlight specific emotions and family roles, while others capture spontaneous and unfiltered moments that reflect the natural flow of our family life.
a significant focus of the project lies in self-portraits where I portray myself as an integral part of the family. these self-portraits serve as a personal expression of my own experiences and emotions within the familial context. by positioning myself as both the observer and the observed, I aim to explore the intricacies of family dynamics and the complex interplay between individual identities and the collective unit.
